Yesterday, the two launched their collaboration, which ended up being a melodic new version of Zhu’s single “In The Morning.” The entrancing rhythm has a pretty laid back feel despite the perky tempo, and all in all, the collaboration seems to be a hit with EDM fans.
Zhu has been pretty active since 2011, but preferred to remain anonymous until 2014. That changed slightly when Zhu’s single Faded was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.
Nonetheless, Zhu prefers to keep a low profile. The little bit that’s known about the mysterious artist is that he graduated from the University of Southern California in 2011.
The low profile doesn’t stop Zhu from playing large shows. You can catch him at Coachella starting this weekend.
Kaskade, known to the regular folks as Ryan Gary Raddon, on the other hand, dropped his first single back in 2001. He made the Billboard top ten charts shortly after with the track “Steppin’ Out.”
With collaborations with the likes of deadmau5, headlining stints at Ultra Music Festival and a couple of Grammy nominations, Kaskade has had no problem keeping busy. Hopefully he’s had time to enjoy some of the $17 million he made as the number 8 highest grossest DJ in the world (according to Forbes in 2014).
Though Kaskade has previously held some nice spots at Coachella, he won’t be attending this year. Instead, you can catch him doing sets in Sin City at XS the Nightclub at Encore and the Encore Beach Club at the Wynn throughout the summer.
