Tiesto has continued to evolve since the launch of his first album In My Memory. What started out as mostly trance-influenced has shifted to house and many pop collaborations.
Now, however, the artist is delving into deep house, a genre defined by a slightly slower beat with loads of bass. Tiesto announced his new label, called AFTR:HRS, on Instagram earlier this week.
I have always loved playing deep house and more mellow tracks in my radio show and my live shows, but I also love to listen to it when I drive or go out late night/early morning! I wanted to create a new label just to release these types of tracks. So today, I am launching @aftrhrsrecords. Get ready for some great music!
Tiesto also is the founder of Musical Freedom, a label he created in 2009. Musical Freedom has put out music by artists like Hardwell, Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers.
An associate at Musical Freedom stated that having a label has helped Tiesto continue his stellar career. “You don’t stay at the top as long as Tiesto has without being open to how the landscape is changing stylistically and bringing young talent into the fold,” he said.Read more to listen to the first release:
