The Chainsmokers Pay Touching Tribute to Terminally Ill Fan

Most artists wouldn’t be anywhere without their fans. Sadly, one of The Chainsmokers‘ fans recently passed away. The duo issued a touching statement on their social media pages paying tribute to the young man.

The pair paid their respects through a touching statement.

Originally, a fan emailed The Chainsmokers saying he and his friend Jake were excited to see them perform in London. However, Jake had terminal cancer, and they’d not be able to attend because it had gotten worse. Alex Pall and Drew Taggart sent him a personalized video, but they soon got a reply from Jake’s father. Unfortunately, Jake had passed away.

As a tribute to the fan, the duo took to Twitter to ask fans to honor Jake in two ways. First, to “think about how much better it is to go that little bit extra and do something positive.” And second, “Life is fragile and spontaneous…so cherish those around you, never and things on a bad note and really value each minute you have with the ones you love.”
