Just in time to kick off New Years’ celebrations, the Chainsmokers will be taking over the Los Angeles Convention Center on December 30, 2016. Not only will this be the biggest show of their ever-climbing career, it’s also only the second time ever that the Convention Center will be used for a dance event.
The first dance artist to grace the venue was Kaskade, who performed at the Convention Center back in May of this year. He wound up having over 21,000 people in attendance, and people are wondering if the Chainsmokers will be able to pull in even more.
After all, at 720,000 square feet, the Los Angeles Convention Center’s exhibit space is able to house a heck of a lot of people.
The Chainsmokers issued a press release about the big news. “We must be dreaming that we are playing the LACC. This will be a huge show, and we plan to bring an event that will set the tone for 2017 visually and sonically,” the duo said. “Our fans’ experience is above all, and this will be a historic moment for us in our career that we can’t wait to share together.”Read more to see the Chainsmokers’ excited announcements on Twitter:
