We’re almost sick of talking about The Chainsmokers. Can’t they give it a rest? What’s with all the new music, awards and insane chart records they keep getting?
Who are we kidding, we could never be sick of news about The Chainsmokers. These guys are on fire this year, and every achievement is more and more exciting to watch.
This is a PSA to remind everybody to tune in to the American Music Awards this Sunday to see if they manage to pick up one of the four awards their nominated for–the show starts at 8:00/7:00 central.
The American Music Awards nominations are here, and EDM is getting some lovin’. At least, the Chainsmokers are.
The duo were nominated for four different awards: New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Duo of Group and Favorite Artist – Electronic Dance Music. Their nomination in the Collaboration category was for their song with Daya, “Don’t Let Me Down.”
The Chainsmokers weren’t the only ones who took home several nominations. Drake even managed to set a record for the most nominations ever, pulling in 13 of them. The previous record was held by Michael Jackson, who received 11 nominations in 1984.
After that, Rihanna received seven nominations, Adele and Justin Bieber both got five, and, tied with the Chainsmokers, Beyonce got four nominations.
Unfortunately for the Chainsmokers, they’re also getting a bit of bad press at the moment. It takes a lot of guts to say anything against Lady Gaga, what with her obsessive fanbase and all, but that’s exactly what they did.Read more to see how the Chainsmokers dissed Lady Gaga:
