Scheduled to take place the weekend of May 28-29 in Tampa, Florida, the EDM festival provides the perfect opportunity to kick off summer the right way. Now it its fourth year, the festival is expected to draw in over 50,000 people.
Headlining Sunset Music Fest will be Hardwell, Jack Ü, Galantis and The Chainsmokers, but the lineup doesn’t end there. Other artists include Andrew Bayer, Nghtmre, Vanic, Cid, and Dirty Chocolate.
Similar to other festivals, the music is just one component of the party. Other cool highlights include the amazing art installations, food trucks, and water misting fans.
The past couple years hardly needed extra water in the air, however. For two years in a row, severe weather caused fans to evacuate into the nearby Raymond James Stadium. Fans kept their heads held high though, and the show went on.
In fact, even when hiding out from the storm, the crowd kept the music alive by singing the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” When the festival set resumed, DJ TJR opened back up with that very song.
If you’re not totally exhausted from hours of raving, be sure to hit up the official afterparties. Last year’s took place at the Amphitheatre Event Facility, where Skrillex gave a surprise performance, showing up well into the wee hours of the morning.
