Shazam’s Most-Searched Songs at Amsterdam Dance Event are SO Surprising

As a tool for measuring which songs people love, the Shazam app is like no other. People use it when they hear a song and want to know who the artist is or what the song is called–with the push of a button, SHAZAM! They get all the information they need.

Who was the most popular at ADE?

Shazam collected some really interesting information about what people were looking for at 2016’s Amsterdam Dance Event, which took place from October 19th to 23rd. They compiled their list of Shazam requests to see which songs people wanted more information on, and the list has some surprises.

We always expect Calvin Harris to top charts, but it’s kind of funny to see that he came out as the number one Shazamed (is that a word?) artist considering everybody seems to know his music already. It kind of makes you wonder how many people are attending Amsterdam Dance Event without a clue who the top artists are or what their music is like.

On the other hand, maybe people just wanted as much information as possible on the song. Who knows?

Here’s the list of the top 10 most searched songs on Shazam at Amsterdam Dance Event:

1. Calvin Harris – “My Way”
2. Fais & Afrojack – “Used to Have It All”
3. Jonas Blue ft. JP Cooper – “Perfect Strangers”
4. Hardwell & Jay Sean – “Thinking About You”
5. Sak Noel & Salvi ft. Sean Paul – “Trumpets”
6. Mike Perry ft. Shy Martin – “The Ocean”
7. Martin Garrix ft. Bebe Rexha – “In the Name of Love”
8. Galantis & Hook N Sling – “Love On Me”
9. Deorro ft. Elvis Crespo – “Bailar”
10. Sam Feldt & Lucas & Steve ft. Wulf – “Summer on You”

Like Calvin Harris, we’re also finding it kind of surprising that Martin Garrix‘s song with Bebe Rexha is also on the list since it seems to be playing everywhere.
