Playlist: 13 Best EDM Summer Songs of 2016–Make the Party Last Forever!

That back-to-school feeling is in the air, and we can’t believe our EDM Summer is already coming to a close. We reminisce over the school year coming to an end every May or June with yearbooks and the like, so doesn’t summer deserve a special tribute as well?

The warm season is the time for EDM Summer Festivals, and with those performances comes some insane new music releases from our favorite DJs. Here are our top favorite EDM Summer songs:

#1. Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna: “This Is What You Came For”

Rihanna and Calvin Harris also collaborated on the song “We Found Love.” Clearly, they are a musical match made in heaven!

#2. DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber: “Let Me Love You”

We waited FOREVER for DJ Snake’s debut album, and it majorly delivered.

#3. Flume featuring Kai: “Never Be Like You”

Okay, so this song technically didn’t come out in the summer–but we’ve been blasting it all summer, so we’re still saying it counts.

#4. The Chainsmokers featuring Daya: “Don’t Let Me Down”

The Chainsmokers win our vote for “Artist Most Likely to Take Over the World.” They’ve been hitting the Billboard Top 10 non-stop all year.

#5. Zara Larsson & MNEK: “Never Forget You”

“Never Forget You” was Larsson and MNEK’s first hit single in the United States, and we’re sure it won’t be the last.

#6. Major Lazer featuring Nyla & Fuse ODG: “Light It Up”

Last year it was “Lean On,” this year Major Lazer brought their A-game again with “Light It Up.”

#7. DJ Snake featuring Bipolar Sunshine: “Middle”

Would we expect DJ Snake to have anything less than a debut album filled with pure awesomeness? Of course not.

#8. Alan Walker: “Faded”

“Faded” hit the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States over the summer.

#9. Galantis: “No Money”

“No Money” is the first single released off Galantis’ newest upcoming studio album.

#10. Jonas Blue featuring Dakota: “Fast Car”

Blue’s debut single is a remix of a song that was originally released in the 1980s by Tracy Chapman.

#11. The Chainsmokers featuring Rozes: “Roses”

Of course the Chainsmokers had to make the list twice.

#12. Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha: “In the Name of Love”

Not only is this a killer song, the music video has amazing imagery as well.

#13. Skrillex & Rick Ross: “Purple Lamborghini”

‘Suicide Squad’ may have flopped with the critics, but this song about the Joker’s car was a hit.

#14. Mike Posner: “I Took A Pill In Ibiza”

Another oldie (and by oldie we mean from 2015), but it captures the summer vibe in style.

Let us know in the comments if we missed your favorite EDM Summer song of 2016.
