Backing up for a second, here’s what you need to know about DJ Mag’s Top 100. Every year, people vote on who they think is the top DJ. There’s not really much else to know in terms of guidelines. DJ Mag then publishes a list of the top 100 to receive votes.
This year, youngster Martin Garrix was named number one, stealing the spot from previous victors Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Hardwell came in number three, and the rest of the top ten remained pretty typical, with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta and Skrillex making the cut.
However, a lot of people are starting to question what criteria DJ Mag is using when considering votes. Is it for best live DJ? Best producer? Nobody really knows.
