This is the third time Kesha has joined forces with an EDM artist to help her out of a sticky situation. Earlier this year at Coachella, Kesha joined Zedd onstage to do a rendition of his track “True Colors.” Just two weeks later, the pair teamed up for a second time and released a recording of the track.
Kesha’s performance at Coachella was her first public show since being limited in her ability to create music because of her legal disputes. Since then, she’s been staying proactive on getting her message out.
She recently performed a cover of Lady Gaga‘s “It Happens To You” at the Humane Society Gala in Los Angeles. She added a personal touch to the song, subtly referencing her dispute with Dr. Luke by saying, “I want to dedicate this song to every man, woman, child and animal that has ever been abused.”
The “Tik Tok” singer will be playing at three stops on the tour: Brooklyn, Chicago and Los Angeles.Read more to get the lineup for the Mad Decent Block Party:
