Ja Rule Hit with $100M Lawsuit over Fyre Festival Train Wreck

UPDATE: As if we didn’t see this coming from a million miles away. The organizers of Fyre Festival, Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule, have been hit with a $100 million lawsuit.

Considering the disaster that took place, $100 million actually doesn’t sound like enough. A concertgoer named Daniel Jung filed the suit. His attorney Mark Geragos said Fyre Festival “was nothng more than a get-rich-quick scam from the very beginning.”

Over 150 plaintiffs have joined the lawsuit, which accuses Ja Rule and McFarland of fraud, breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation amongst other things.

All McFarland has said about the fiasco was that they were “overwhelmed.” He wrote, “We thought we were making timeframes that were correct. We were a little naive in thinking for the first time we could do this ourselves. Next year, we will definitely start earlier. The reality is we weren’t experienced enough to keep up.”

Does he seriously think there’s still going to be a next year?
