Avicii Vows to Release Best Album Yet in 2017

For some reason, it seemed like the end of the world when Avicii announced his retirement from touring. Yes, it’s absolutely awful that he’s not touring anymore–but that doesn’t mean he won’t be making music! In fact, in 2017, the Swedish producer has plans to make his “best damn album” yet.

Change is in the air for Avicii (a.k.a. Tim Bergling), who revealed in 2016 that he was going to quit touring due to health reasons. In August he played his final live performance in Ibiza. Then, in December, a representative of Avicii Music AB released a statement saying that Avicii had parted ways from his manager Ash Pournouri. However, “Bergling is signed to Universal Music Sweden and is expected to release an album next year,” the statement read.

The exciting news was confirmed by Avicii himself in a recent Instagram post celebrating the new year. Not only that, but he’s promising it will be the best one yet.
